Privacy Policy

Sniffo ("Sniffo," "we," "us," or "our") provides software that helps founders and teams collect, organize, score, and act on public market signals from sources such as Reddit, competitor websites, and other public pages you configure.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our websites, application, and related services (together, the "Service").

Last updated: May 21, 2026. By using Sniffo, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways.

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored as a hash) or Google sign-in identifiers and basic profile details from Google when you use Google OAuth
  • Company or workspace name
  • Role within a workspace (such as owner, admin, or member)
  • Account settings and preferences

If you join or manage a workspace, we may also process information related to your workspace membership, permissions, and activity. On eligible plans, workspace owners may add team members to the same workspace.

Billing information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled by Stripe.

We may receive limited billing-related information such as:

  • Plan and subscription status
  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers
  • Invoice and payment status
  • Billing email

We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

Workspace and business profile data

Sniffo may collect and process information you add to your workspace, including:

  • Business and product descriptions
  • Target customer descriptions
  • Competitors and their website URLs
  • Priority and ignore keywords
  • Tracked subreddits and Reddit search queries
  • Notes on opportunities
  • Opportunity status (such as active, saved, or archived)
  • Scoring preferences (such as keyword lists and Reddit score thresholds)
  • Reply tone preferences
  • AI-assisted onboarding suggestions you review and edit
  • Draft replies or other AI-generated content you request in the product

This information is used to operate and personalize the Service.

Configured public sources

When you configure sources inside Sniffo, such as Reddit communities, competitor websites, pricing pages, landing pages, or other URLs we fetch on your behalf, we may retrieve and process publicly available information from those sources.

This may include public posts, public comments, page text, metadata, links, timestamps, and other publicly available content.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to configure and monitor the sources you add to Sniffo.

AI-assisted feature data

Sniffo offers optional AI-assisted features, such as onboarding setup suggestions and draft reply generation. Opportunity scoring in the product is performed by Sniffo's scoring engine using your configured keywords and rules, not by sending opportunities to an AI model for scoring.

To provide AI-assisted features, we may send relevant inputs to AI service providers, such as OpenAI. These inputs may include public source content, workspace context, business profile information, notes, and prompts you provide.

You should not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, or information you do not have permission to use.

Usage and log data

We may collect technical and usage information such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Referring pages
  • Pages viewed
  • Features used
  • Timestamps
  • Error and sync logs
  • Session activity
  • Approximate location based on IP address

We use this information to operate, secure, improve, and debug the Service.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember preferences
  • Understand product usage
  • Improve performance
  • Measure traffic and analytics
  • Protect the Service from abuse

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Some cookies may be required for the Service to work correctly.

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Sniffo, including:

5. Third-party content and public sources

Sniffo helps users collect and organize public market signals from sources they configure. The public content we retrieve may come from third-party websites, platforms, APIs, forums, or public pages. We do not control those third-party sources, and their content remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

If you configure Sniffo to monitor a source, you are responsible for making sure your use of that source complies with applicable laws, platform rules, and third-party terms.

6. AI-assisted features

Sniffo may use AI providers to help generate onboarding suggestions, draft replies, and related outputs. Opportunity scoring uses Sniffo's own scoring logic based on your workspace configuration.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI output before using it.

Do not submit highly sensitive personal information, secrets, passwords, private keys, protected health information, financial account details, or confidential third-party information into AI-assisted features unless you have the right to do so and understand the risks.

7. Data retention

  • Workspace data is kept while the workspace exists, unless deleted earlier.
  • Billing records may be kept as needed for tax, accounting, legal, and compliance purposes.
  • Logs and analytics data may be kept for a limited period for security, debugging, and product improvement.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet service is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will always be protected from every possible security risk.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for controlling access to your workspace.
